We went for the first time as a little family to pick out our Christmas tree and Ada was a trooper considering the weather. She was probably hot from all the clothing we had on her. Enjoy!

Today Ada received the sacrament of Baptism! She wasn’t the most pleased by the ceremony, especially the cold water flowing over her little head, but she made it through with flying colors. Thanks to everyone that came and helped out for the reception and a big thanks as well to my friend Trey Speyrer for being the official photographer.

We took Ada on a little trip to Starbucks and Barnes & Nobles to help relieve Anna’s cabin fever. I think we already have a coffee shop snob on our hands. She turned her nose up when we walked in…she is so indy already!

We also dressed up Anna’s car for the outing. Some people do little family stickers, other’s use Jesus fishes, we do Apple stickers! We also have learned she is not a very big fan of riding in the car. She loves swinging in the car seat, but other than that she HATES the car!

Daniel and I wanted to share some pictures of Ada’s first week at home!  We’ve been enjoying her so much, and loving all of her “firsts.”  So far, she’s had her first bath, her first car trip, her first visit to the doctor (for a weight check), her first trip to church, and lots of adorable moments at home.  We are just head-over-heels in love with this little girl and we can’t wait to see what she does next!

As far as her parents, we’re doing ok too!  Mamere (Madelyn) has continued to be a tremendous help with keeping us clean and fed.  We have shown her off to some visiting family and friends and would love to show her off some more!  Sleep has not been as elusive as we had though it would be.  Right now, sleeping in shifts  seems to be working for us, but hopefully Ada will get her days and nights straightened out soon.

Here are just a few of the MANY pictures that we took on Ada first day. I am trying to compile a gallery of all the images for those that really want to go through and look at ALL the pictures.

She is BEAUTIFUL and we are proud as can be! She is doing well, and starting to eat well. We are learning very quickly what she likes and ABSOLUTELY DOESN’T LIKE!

Just about everything in our house is setup and ready for the baby, but we prefer the stuff to at least look like it is being used.

Enter Mortimer. He has been our baby placeholder for the last couple of weeks. We hope to pull him out of active duty soon!
