Well we had so much fun with Ada we decided it would be fun to bring another crazy Kedinger into the world! So we proudly announce Baby #2 is on the way.

Our sweet baby girl is a year old!  Thank you to everyone who has kept up with this blog (even though we haven’t always updated in a timely manner!!)  I can’t believe how fast this year has gone, and what a fantastic little girl our baby is turning into!  She has such a fun little personality and loves to play.  Some of Ada’s favorite things right now are: spaghetti, Yo Gabba Gabba, her noonie, board books, mandarin oranges, playing “Peep-Eye,” pancakes, anything that rattles, bath time, and ice cream.

We celebrated Ada’s birthday yesterday at Mamere and Pop Pop’s house.  Here are a few pics of the party set-up, the awesome “smash cake” made by Madelyn, and one of the birthday girl.  We’re still waiting on the “official” pictures from Ada’s godfather, Jamie.  Look out for those coming soon!!

Wow!  It’s been a long time since we updated the blog, and we apologize!  Obviously Ada is keeping us very busy!  She is growing and changing so fast, and learning new things every day.  Her latest tricks are clapping, standing by herself, and she’s even ventured to take a couple steps in the past week! (Although she still much prefers crawling).  We broke out the baby pool this past weekend and kicked off summer with some splashing around.  Hope you enjoy the pics and we promise to keep the blog updated more frequently!

I think Ada might be just a little bit excited about her first Halloween!  We snapped a few pictures today in one of her Halloween outfits.  This isn’t her “official” costume though– that one will be saved for trick-or-treating!

Little Miss Ada has turned two months old!  We took her for a quick photo shoot in Girard Park on Sunday to celebrate.  Daniel did a great job capturing her newest trick- big smiles!

Little Miss Ada turned one month old this week!  It feels like she was born yesterday and at the same time like she’s been here forever!  We can’t really remember what it was like before she came into our family (Except at 1:00 in the morning.  I definitely remember what a full night’s sleep was like–it was nice!)  But, just this week, Ada has started sleeping 5-6 hours at a time at night and we are loving it!  We hope that this continues in a positive direction.

Daniel and I did a mini-photo shoot on the 19th to document her turning a month old, and we wanted to share some of the pictures with everyone!

Ada’s little belly button finally healed completely and we gave her her first tub bath this week.  Once she got in the water, we think she really liked it!  She loved having the warm water poured over her, but hated getting in and out of the tub.  We have learned that she really hates to be naked, which is ok with us! 

I also threw in a picture of Ada with her new friend, the pacifier.  We introduced the “noonie” this week and we can’t believe we waited this long to do it!  This glorious piece of plastic has helped us to have much calmer evenings and better sleep!

Daniel and I just wanted to say that we are so overwhelmed and blessed to have so many people checking in our new little family!  We are thankful for all of the wonderful comments, prayers and thoughts we have received!

We have been home for a little more than a day and we are learning a whole lot about our little Ada and making new routines.  We’ve been so lucky to have Mamere (Madelyn) here helping, cooking, cleaning, and cuddling!

Last night was our first night on our own and we weathered the storm pretty well I think.  Daniel and I each managed about 4 hours of sleep total, but at opposite times!  In typical newborn style, Ada decided that she was ready to finally wake up and demand attention for most of the night.  Daniel was a trooper swaddling and soothing her in between feedings.  Fortunately, we have learned that she is a fan of the swing!  That wonderful invention allowed us some peaceful sleep and will likely be called into service often!

Today, Ada had her first outing to Scott to met her great-grandfather Lastie.  He was very impressed and proclaimed her a “cute baby.”  He even got to hold her and pose for some pictures.   As for the rest of today, she has been sleeping pretty much all afternoon despite several visitors.  We have a feeling we’re in for another long night….

She was born July 19, 2009 at 1:16pm. She weighs 6 lbs 13 oz. And is 20 inches long.

Well we were so sure that none of the wives tales worked but we spoke too soon. I was working on the blog and rolled into bed at 1:30am. Shortly after I got into bed Anna informed me that she was having some serious contractions. About an hour later contractions were 5 minutes apart and we headed to the hospital. We are still waiting, but expect Ada very soon.
